Updated 08/23/09: Skin Released

Cleaned up graphics and layout.

I've made a few changes with the looks. I figured out how to do the "banding" on the edge of the buttons and was able to get rid of some of the overbearing (IMHO) shadowing. I like the looks of the "no background" so I set it up to appear as if the buttons are floating (no shadow). Screenshots are in the next post.

Here are some screenshots of the latest rev. I also added speed to the navigation page. My speedometer isn't accurate, so I like being able to see it.

If you prefered the previous illuminated background (like in the post above), download the zip file, uncompress, and place the file into your streetdeck20 skin folder.

I love this skin. Problem is, I'm having problems figuring out how to install it. I unzipped the file and saved the unzipped file to the skins folder. When I go to settings to change the skin, the only option is the default. Tried opening SD2 and going to external apps and double clicking the .sdz file and copied the .sdz file to the skins folder. Am I missing a step? I looked for a post on this but didn't see any info on it. I'd really like to try this skin out but can't for the life of me figure out how to get SD2 to recognize the skin.

Well, I got it to work by renaming the skin folder "Default" but, I'd still like to know what I was doing wrong before. Default is still the only option in the skins settings.

Don't unzip. Start Streetdeck, then hit the toggle full screen button at the top left (looks like 2 files stacked), then drag the .sdz file on top of streetdeck. It will then install.

Ok, that's way easier than I expected. One more quick question. As much as I love the skin, I'm not a big fan of the dodge logo. I tried to the dodge logo attached here and it ended up floating somewhere over the main menu. Is there a way for me to get this logo right so I can use it with the skin?

Here ya go. Just stick the "carlogo.png" into the skin folder. I love that logo. It's not one of mine, is it? If not, can I hang on to it?

Thanks so much! No that logo is from the digitalfx4 RR skin that I had installed. I loved that logo and was sincerely hoping to have it in SD. Thanks again for all the help.
